Quoting and Estimating
Quoting and Estimating
  • You set up Work Centers exactly as you need for your equipment or manufacturing processes and determine the rate per hour you want to charge for that work center. The price you charge for that work center should be market driven. If you don't get enough work for that work center you may want to adjust your price/hour downward till you find the sweet spot.
  • Set up as many as you want to fully define your operations to OmniShopPro. You should have one for anything your direct employee might spend time on.
  • Enter the processes required to produce your product from start to finish. Your processes can be as general or specific as you want. Simply enter the work center number, setup time, and time/part - OmniShopPro will do all the work for you.
  • Be sure to make some Sub-contract work centers too so your jobs can be tracked even when it leaves your plant. These outside work centers are also fully integrated with Purchasing.
  • Calculate and save the quote for various quantities (you will be prompted to include freight and scrap allowances if you wish)
  • Special Calculators are included to help in estimating:

    -Material calculator
    -CNC Mill
    -CNC Lathe
  • You can copy and modify quotes for similar parts
  • Automatically convert a Speed Quote into a Route (or Process) Sheet when you get the order. (It's easy to add more detail when you get the job to direct your people more fully in making the parts.
  • Email, Fax, or Print an impressive quote to your customer directly from your computer
  • Quickly produce detailed and accurate quotes for your customers. OmniShopPro's Speed Quote reduces quoting to the fewest key strokes. After you get the job you may want to add more detail to your Route or Process Sheet. The order entry system will automatically find your quote for the new part number and make a Route Sheet for you. Our system prints professional quote forms that will impress your customers. Several specialized quoting routines are included (for CNC Milling and CNC Lathes)
