Major Decrease in Operator Error
Operator error is one major source of headaches in Job Costing, Payroll,
Overtime Charges. These type of errors, if not detected early, can cause a host
of problems from inefficient scheduling, incorrect process sheets, and incorrect
payroll to name a few. Not to mention the costly hours of correcting these
problems.
This problem is addressed by eliminating the keyboard from the process. Using
bar-coded data on process sheets and employee name badges, employee ids, job
ids, and operations cannot be misspelled.
In our experience there have been occasions that an employee has forgotten to
clock out at the end of the day. In these cases those time entries are closed by
the system at the end of the assigned shift. These time entries are flagged for
the supervisor to examine and change if necessary.
Payroll Integration
OmniBarPro integrates with OmniShopPro's automated payroll system. Time
entries are exported to OmniShopPro in real-time. No more totaling work and
overtime hours for each employee. Hours can be imported into payroll with one
click of the mouse. This one feature alone will save you time and money when
creating payroll checks.
Overtime Approval
Overtime may be approved on an individual basis or as a rule. Overtime
approval is broken down to overtime before the assigned shift and after the
shift.
Employee Performance
OmniBarPro is integrated with the process sheets created with OmniShopPro.
Each process sheet consists of several operations which identify work center,
quantify product, and estimate how many minutes each part should take to produce
on that work center. Using this data an accurate performance percentage is
arrived at. Not only does OmniBarPro track employee performance, but it gives
employees an opportunity to explain the reason for poor performance using
predefined reasons. This is understandably a great method of increasing time
efficiency and quality.
